Ngorongoro Crater Day Tour Itinerary

Morning: Departure from Arusha

6:00 AM – Pick up from your hotel in Arusha by your driver-guide. After a short briefing, begin your journey towards Ngorongoro Crater, passing through Mto wa Mbu and Karatu. Enjoy scenic views along the way.

Mid-Morning: Arrival & Crater Descent

9:00 AM – Arrive at the Ngorongoro Conservation Area entrance gate, where you’ll be welcomed by baboons and various bird species. After registration, proceed into the park, driving through the lush tropical forest with fresh air, birdsong, and mist-covered trees.

10:00 AM – Begin your descent into the crater, dropping over 600 meters to the wildlife-rich plains below. Experience incredible game viewing, with chances to spot the Big Five—lions, leopards, elephants, buffaloes, and the rare black rhino—alongside zebras, wildebeests, hippos, and more.

Lunch Break
