Overview
The Southern Serengeti is a key stop on the annual migration route for over 2 million wildebeests and thousands of zebras, antelopes, and gazelles. Between December and April, the fertile plains transform into calving grounds for the migration. This tour also covers iconic destinations, including Tarangire National Park with its majestic baobab trees, Serengeti National Park, Ngorongoro Crater, and Lake Manyara.

Tour Plan
Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro Airport, a Meru Slopes driver will transfer you to Venice Hotel in Arusha. Spend the day at leisure, relaxing at the hotel. In the evening, attend a safari briefing to prepare for your adventure ahead.
Departing from your Arusha hotel at 8:00 AM, enjoy a three-hour drive to Tarangire National Park for a full-day game drive. The park, known for its Tarangire River, is home to elephants, baobab trees, climbing pythons, lions, and leopards. End the day at Marera View Lodge for dinner and overnight.
After breakfast at 8 AM, drive 3 hours to Ndutu via the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, transitioning from hilly forests to open grasslands. Enjoy a full-day game drive with a picnic lunch amid Ndutu’s sweeping plains, home to six big cat species. End the day with dinner and overnight stay.
Start your day with breakfast before heading out for a full-day game drive in the Ndutu region, part of both Serengeti National Park and Ngorongoro Conservation Area. After breakfast, head to Serengeti National Park, where endless plains meet the horizon for a breathtaking view. The Serengeti’s rich ecosystem hosts Africa’s largest plains game population. Spot wildlife around the iconic granite “kopjes.” Enjoy a picnic lunch during the game drive, followed by dinner and overnight at your accommodation.
After breakfast, enjoy a full-day game drive in the Serengeti, where endless plains stretch to the horizon. Home to the Great Migration and the “Big 5,” the park also offers sightings of impalas and diverse wildlife. Enjoy a picnic lunch before ending the day with dinner and overnight at your accommodation.
After breakfast, embark on a short morning game drive in the Serengeti before heading to Ngorongoro Crater. The scenic 75 km drive takes around 2.5 hours, offering mild wildlife sightings en route. End the day with a hearty dinner and a restful night at your chosen accommodation near the crater.
After breakfast, descend at 6:30 AM into Ngorongoro Crater for a 5-hour game drive. Explore this massive caldera, home to elephants, buffalo, rhinos, hippos, lions, and more. Enjoy a picnic lunch at the Hippo Pool, then ascend the crater. End the day with a delicious dinner in Karatu.
After breakfast, drive to Lake Manyara, where lush forests of Acacia and Mahogany trees set the tone. Enjoy a game drive, spotting buffaloes, giraffes, impalas, baboons, and blue monkeys. Look out for tree-climbing lions and flamingos. In the evening, drive back to Arusha for dinner and overnight stay.
