By the end of April, the wildebeest migration begins to spread westward, moving across the plains toward the Seronera area (central Serengeti) and the Western Corridor. The migration is typically concentrated in the Seronera region and the southern plains from April to May. In June, the focus shifts to the Western Corridor, a narrow stretch of land extending from the west of Seronera to the Serengeti National Park’s western border. This area is known for its dramatic Grumeti River crossing, where migrating animals are often forced to swim. Witnessing a crossing is a rare and thrilling event, though it is a matter of luck during your 4-day migration safari in the Western Corridor.
