The 6-Day Migration Northern Serengeti safari, priced at $2,300 per person, follows the wildebeest migration as it moves north in July. The herds pass through the Lobo and Wagakuria areas, heading towards Kenya’s Masai Mara. Wildebeest can be seen crossing the Mara River from July onwards. By September, the herds are spread across the northern Serengeti and the Masai Mara, with some herds remaining behind, occasionally returning due to weather changes. In October, the herds begin moving south again toward the central Serengeti, passing through the Lobo area.

Tour Plan
After a 4-hour drive from Arusha to Ngorongoro Conservation Area, enjoy lunch at the lodge before descending 600 meters into the crater for an afternoon safari. Spot wildebeest, elephants, lions, leopards, and more. Visit Lake Magadi, home to flamingos and hippos, before dinner and an overnight stay at the lodge.
After breakfast, we embark on a 5-hour drive to Serengeti National Park, heading to the Lobo area, just north of Seronera. This area sees the wildebeest migration in July/August and October/November. After lunch, enjoy an afternoon game drive before dinner and overnight stay in the Lobo area.
After breakfast, enjoy a full-day game drive in the Serengeti’s Lobo area and along the Grumeti River, home to year-round wildlife like elephants, lions, leopards, and cheetahs. This remote region offers excellent game viewing with minimal crowds. Birdlife, including kingfishers and fish eagles, thrive here. Dinner and overnight in Lobo.
After breakfast, travel 3 hours to Serengeti’s Wagakuria area, with game viewing en route. Spot giraffes, buffalo, elephants, and plains game before arriving for lunch. Enjoy an afternoon game drive, possibly witnessing the dramatic wildebeest crossing at the Mara River (August to October). Dinner and overnight in Wagakuria.
Enjoy a full-day game drive in Wagakuria, home to abundant wildlife and large lion prides. From August to October, the Mara River becomes the focal point for dramatic wildebeest crossings, though spotting one is unpredictable. The area features stunning kopjes, woodlands, and open plains. Dinner and overnight in Wagakuria.
After breakfast, depart for Arusha by road or take a scheduled flight from Kogatende airstrip. Upon arrival at Arusha airport, meet our driver for a transfer to your hotel. Enjoy lunch and overnight stay at the hotel, marking the end of our safari services.
