Tour Plan
Morning: Departure from Arusha
6:00 AM – Pick up from your hotel in Arusha by your driver-guide. After a short briefing, begin your journey towards Ngorongoro Crater, passing through Mto wa Mbu and Karatu. Enjoy scenic views along the way.
Mid-Morning: Arrival & Crater Descent
9:00 AM – Arrive at the Ngorongoro Conservation Area entrance gate, where you’ll be welcomed by baboons and various bird species. After registration, proceed into the park, driving through the lush tropical forest with fresh air, birdsong, and mist-covered trees.
10:00 AM – Begin your descent into the crater, dropping over 600 meters to the wildlife-rich plains below. Experience incredible game viewing, with chances to spot the Big Five—lions, leopards, elephants, buffaloes, and the rare black rhino—alongside zebras, wildebeests, hippos, and more.
Lunch Break
12:30 PM – 1:30 PM – Enjoy a picnic lunch at a designated area within the crater, surrounded by stunning landscapes and wildlife.
Afternoon: Game Drive & Exploration
1:30 PM – 4:00 PM – Continue your safari through the crater, exploring its diverse ecosystems and observing a variety of animals in their natural habitat.
Return to Arusha
4:00 PM – 7:00 PM – Ascend from the crater and begin your drive back to Arusha, arriving at your hotel in the evening with unforgettable memories of Ngorongoro Crater.
