Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Arusha
Upon arrival at Arusha or Kilimanjaro airport, we will pick you up and transfer you to your accommodation in Arusha city for an overnight stay. Therefore, you can rest and prepare for the adventure ahead.
Day 2: Arusha to Tarangire
Your adventure begins with a pick-up from the hotel at 8:00 AM, and then you will embark on a three-hour drive to Tarangire National Park. Here, you will enjoy a full-day game drive, witnessing a wealth of wildlife, including elephants, climbing tree pythons, and majestic baobab trees. Afterwards, in the evening, head to Jambo Lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Lake Manyara Tour
After breakfast, you’ll set off for a full-day game drive in Lake Manyara National Park. Not only will you have the opportunity to see tree-climbing lions and flamingos, but you’ll also visit a hot spring. Furthermore, later in the day, visit a traditional Maasai Boma to experience their unique culture. End the day with dinner and an overnight stay at Eileens Trees Inn.
Day 4: Ngorongoro Crater Tour
Next, start your day with a game drive in the stunning Ngorongoro Crater, home to a variety of wildlife, including the Big Five. In the evening, as a result, make your way to Ngorongoro Serena Lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 5: Ngorongoro to Central Serengeti
After breakfast, you will journey to the Serengeti National Park, descending into the iconic plains of Africa. Then, enjoy a game drive en route to the lodge, arriving in time for lunch. Later, continue with an afternoon game drive in the rich wildlife area of Seronera.
Day 6: Central Serengeti
Consider starting the day with a hot air balloon ride over the Serengeti Plains (additional cost), and after that, enjoy a full-day game drive. Moreover, you will explore diverse habitats and witness incredible wildlife interactions. Dinner and overnight stay at Angata Tented Lodge.
Day 7: Central Serengeti to Western Serengeti
Travel to the Western Corridor of the Serengeti after breakfast, with a game drive along the way. Then, enjoy lunch at the lodge before heading out for an afternoon game drive in this spectacular region. Dinner and overnight at Mbalageti Tented Lodge.
Day 8: Western Serengeti Exploration
On this day, experience a full-day game drive in the Western Corridor, famous for the Grumeti and Mbalageti rivers. Look out for large groups of hippos, crocodiles, and an impressive array of birdlife. By the end of the day, return to Mbalageti Tented Lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 9: Western to Central Serengeti
Start the morning with a game drive in the Western Serengeti, then head back to Central Serengeti. Afterward, enjoy lunch before continuing your exploration with an afternoon game drive. Later, relax at Angata Tented Lodge.
Day 10: Central to Northern Serengeti
Journey to the Northern Serengeti, passing through the Lobo area. This region is not only renowned for its exceptional wildlife, but it is also home to non-migratory species like elephants and leopards. Enjoy a game drive in the afternoon and stay overnight at Kenzan Tented Lodge.
Day 11: Exploring Lobo Area
Today, spend a full day exploring the Lobo area, a lesser-known but wildlife-rich corner of the Serengeti. Marvel at the magnificent landscapes and follow game without the typical crowds. Dinner and overnight at Kenzan Tented Lodge.
Day 12: Lobo to Wagakuria Area
Continue your adventure by traveling deeper into the northern Serengeti to the Wagakuria area, famous for the Mara River and the challenges it presents to the migrating wildebeest. Indeed, you will witness one of nature’s greatest spectacles as herds cross the river. Enjoy lunch and an afternoon game drive before retreating to Kenzan Tented Lodge.
Day 13: Northern Serengeti (Wagakuria Area)
Another full-day game drive in Wagakuria awaits. Here, you’ll have the chance to observe large lion prides and the dramatic migration movements across the Mara River. Dinner and overnight at Kenzan Tented Lodge.
Day 14: Northern Serengeti to Arusha
After breakfast, depart for Arusha by road or catch a scheduled flight from Kogatende Airstrip. Upon arrival, you will be met by our driver and transferred to your onward destination, marking the end of your unforgettable safari.
