Midday Arrival at Falls Camp

Around midday, we reach Falls Camp by the Engaresero River, with stunning views of Mount Ol Doinyo Lengai. Enjoy a shower or a river bath in this peaceful spot.

Trek to Hidden Waterfalls

For those wanting more activity, trek to waterfalls hidden in the Rift Valley’s western wall, with Mount Ol Doinyo Lengai visible in the background.

Midnight Ascent of Mount Ol Doinyo Lengai

After resting, we start our midnight ascent of Mount Ol Doinyo Lengai. The summit offers glowing lava views—a breathtaking experience.

Day 2: Sunrise Views & Visit to Lake Natron

Start early to see a sunrise stretching across the Rift Valley to Kenya, with Mount Ol Doinyo Lengai in view. It’s a stunning, tranquil sight.

Descent and Drive to Lake Natron

After sunrise, we descend and drive to Lake Natron, known for its flamingo breeding grounds and striking scenery.

Visit to Maasai “Boma” Village

On the way to Lake Natron, visit a Maasai “Boma” village. It’s a glimpse into traditional Maasai life with Mount Ol Doinyo Lengai in the backdrop.

Return to Falls Camp

After visiting the Maasai near Lake Natron, return to Falls Camp to rest for the next day’s adventures.

Day 3: Return to Arusha with Optional Stops

We drive back to Arusha, stopping to explore Tanzania’s culture and landscapes. Mount Ol Doinyo Lengai fades as we head back.

Shopping for Makonde Carvings

Purchase intricate Makonde carvings—perfect souvenirs from the Lake Natron and Mount Ol Doinyo Lengai regions.
