Overview
Every year, vast herds of wildebeest undertake a long-distance migration aligned with rainfall patterns and grass growth. After the short rainy season in November, the herds arrive on the nutrient-rich short-grass plains of the Serengeti. These plains stretch east and south of Seronera, encompassing the Ndutu area and northern Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Wildebeest and zebra roam these plains, feeding on the nutrient-rich grasses. By February, most wildebeest give birth to their calves. Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Arusha to Serengeti
Your safari adventure begins with a pick-up from the airport and a drive through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area en route to the Serengeti plains. These plains teem with big game animals, predators, the Great Migration, and Nile crocodiles. After an exciting game drive, you will head to Chaka Tented Lodge for check-in, dinner, and an overnight stay.

Day 2: Southern Serengeti
After an early breakfast, you will venture out with a boxed lunch for a full-day game drive. You will explore the Great Migration in the southern Serengeti and the northern Ngorongoro/Ndutu area. The afternoon includes a bush lunch, followed by more game drives until sunset. At the end of the day, you will return to Chaka Tented Lodge for dinner and another overnight stay.

Day 3: Lake Ndutu – Ngorongoro Conservation Area
The day begins with an early morning game drive in the Ndutu area, followed by lunch at the lodge. After lunch, you will check out and enjoy a game drive on the way to the Ngorongoro Crater rim. Upon arrival, you will check in at Ngorongoro Serena Lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 4: Ngorongoro Crater – Arusha
Start the day with an early breakfast before descending to the Ngorongoro Crater floor for a thrilling game drive. Witness the “Big Five” and other wildlife such as zebra, hippo, wildebeest, and hyena. The crater also offers birdwatching opportunities, including flamingos, geese, storks, and vultures. Lunch will be served at a picnic site by the swamp, where you can watch hippos swimming. After lunch, you will ascend to the crater rim and drive back to Arusha. Upon arrival, you will transfer to your hotel or the airport, concluding your safari.
